This is a vigorous small tree or large shrub which grows about 6m. The leaves are long, narrow dull green, and silvery on the undersides. The catkins will appear before the leaves. They will require cool, moist soil with sun or partial-shade. These frost-hardy plants do best in areas with clearly defined seasons.
