Star magnolia.
This is a dense large shrub or small tree, it is grown for its deep green foliage and elegant white fragrant flowers. The blooms are large and star-shaped. Grow in full sun, but it will tolerate some partial shade and prefer to be sheltered from wind or the cold. The tree is very hardy, it will grow poorly in hot, dry windy areas. The white flowers will appear in late winter and early spring.
