Acer saccharinum - 220-250 cm RB/Potgrown

Silver maple, Bird's eye maple.
This is a deciduous tree with silvery foliage and it has a good autumn colour. This species will spread quickly and will provide a lifetime of summer shade. The leaves are deeply 5-lobed and about 10cms wide; bright green above with a silver beneath. In the autumn they turn a mixture of scarlet, orange and yellow. This species will tolerate short periods of flooding or drought. Growth habit: upright arching rounded. Height 15 to 20m, spread 10 to15m.
