This species is a deciduous upright shrub or small tree which can grow to about 6m. It will produces inconspicuous flowers which are followed in the autumn by pink or red fruits that will split open to reveal large orange seeds. Partial sun. If grown in full sun, soil for evergreen species should not be very dry.
