Syringa.
This variety is very frost hardy. It is a vigorous upright shrub that will grow to a height and spread of 3m. From late spring to early summer it will bear large fragrant, semi- double flowers set among the dark green oval leaves. They are moderately to very frost hardy, they are easily grown in moist, well-drained soil and need a position in sun or light shade. After flowering, cut some older shoots back to young growths, leaving young shoots to flower the following year.
